Overall responsibility: To supervise implementation of Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health and Nutrition Program (MNCHN) in Bokeo Province.

 

Tasks

  • Develop quality annual, quarterly and monthly work plans and budgets and
  • Ensure integration of MNCHN activities with other Plan programs in education, early childhood and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
  • Oversee implementation of the MNCHN Program
  • Build capacity of Plan and partner staff
  • Supervise and mentor MNCHN Program staff in the Province
  • Prepare regular financial and narrative reports
  • Ensure regular and systematic
  • Support development of efficient and effective Health Management Information System
  • Liaise with Provincial and District health authorities and other partner

 

Skills, qualification and experience requirements

 

 

  • Medical doctor with 6 years training certificate essential
  • Master of Public Health preferable
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Primary Health Care program management, especially on MCH and nutrition 
  • Good knowledge of MoH health management system at provincial, district and community level
  • Good knowledge of epidemiology including data collection methods, analysis and interpretation 
  • Familiar with MoH MNCH-N strategy
  • Be able to coach/train Program District Coordinators, provincial and district health managers
  • At least 3 years working experiences with an international organization
  • Fluent pasa Lao. Knowledge of ethnic group languages an advantage
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Lao national or with necessary permits to live and work in Laos

Location: Position based in Houisay with frequent travel to remote Districts and occasional international travel

  • Strong ICT skills, including Word, Excel and e-communications, are essential
